About Jaxson

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

On defense I call formations pre-snap, and I play fast and controlled with my sideline to sideline speed, quick reads, and sure tackling form. On offense I operate with a north and south running style and quick cuts.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I want to win, have fun, and glorify God. I enjoy the process of showing up and grinding to get better while doing anything asked of me by my teammates and coaches. I’m always there for my teammates whatever they need from me, and I will never quit on my brothers.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am an officer in Waldron’s FCA program, a member of B.E.T.A. Club, Class President in Student Council, and a member of our Student Athlete Leadership Team. I scored a 1210 on the PSAT in 10th grade, and between 9th and 10th grade I have finished seven classes with the highest GPA in Waldron’s class of 2027.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’m involved in community service weekly, I tutor my classmates, and I’m seen as a leader in all three of my sports so I have learned to lead (not just in my community, classroom, and teams) by example and constructively call out people who aren’t giving their best.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

The biggest challenge I have faced is conquering panic attacks and anger issues stemming from anxiety. Since I was a toddler I’d never been able to control my emotions and finally overcoming it through church and therapy from around 6th to 8th grade changed my entire life completely.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that is somewhat close to home, has good medical programs, is competitive in football, and has a supportive fan base.
