Gordon is a “see hole, hit hole” running back, whose mission is to get the yardage in front of him as fast as possible. With knees driving as a one-track speed tail back, Gordon is the bell-cow back that knows what he needs to do for the Riverside offense to be successful — run the ball, run hard and make it to the next play.

Being named to the 1st-Team All-State squad as a running back, Gordon posted those numbers in just ten games last season.

A long strider, Gordon’s calling card is his ability to run away from defenses. If he’s able to get a head of steam and reach the third level of the defense, he’s gone almost every time, posting a barrage of touchdown runs from 30+ yards out to average 6.8 yards per carry in 2024.

Gordon produced at a high level in being named his Class A district’s offensive MVP. He piled up 1,932 yards and 31 touchdowns rushing in helping the Bulldogs to the second round of the playoffs. Gordon added 31 tackles (17 solo, 1.0 TFL) and a fumble recovery. His film reveals someone playing a few speeds faster than the opponent. Gordon’s patience and vision help him pick his way through traffic between the tackles. He gets to another gear quickly.
