Long hasn’t been able to find much consistent running room for Parkland this year, but he’s had some success as a receiver, breaking off a couple of long catch-and-runs on screens. He’s not the biggest guy, but he has good burst and a feel for finding small holes as they open up.

The emergence of an explosive rusher in Parkland’s offense cannot be understated. Part of an excellent sophomore class, Long has great vision, burst, and speed. In his first real varsity action, he showed that he’s a fantastic receiver out of the backfield, as he caught two long touchdowns—one on a screen and one on an excellent wheel route. I’m excited to see what Parkland can do with new offensive firepower in 2026.
