About Javon

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a quick, fast and aggressive player on defense. I try to make plays for my team defending passes and making tackles.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am laid back but I go above and beyond to get the job done.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Track and field AAU National medalist. 4x400, long jump, triple jump Basketball Baseball

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I try to display leadership through my actions and I have leaned to be a good teammate by assisting others on and off the field. We have dealt with a great deal of adversity this year and we were able to come together and finish the season.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Our coach resigned in the middle of the season. I, with the help of my teammates and parents finished the season with great grades and a positive outlook on my future as a football player. I also did not get the opportunity to play quarterback this season but I bought into the coaches plan and was able to show my skills at other positions.

What type of college are you looking for?

A place that feels like home, one that i love and shows similar affection for me. The atmosphere has to feel right for me and be a place my family feels comfortable allowing me to grow as a young man.

It was the week of 2028 quarterbacks because Javon Johnston Javon Johnston Javon Johnston 5'10" | 150 lbs | DB/ATH Shady Side Academy | 2028 State PA had a huge game as well this week. He threw for an eye-popping 357 yards and 3 touchdowns. Johnston is a great athlete who can do anything with the football. He can run the ball and throw the ball. His ability to throw the deep ball is excellent as well. He earned a helmet sticker, and I expect he will continue to play at a high level going forward.
