About Jase

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

As a trained WR, I have the physical and mental abilities required to adjust to what the defense is giving me. Whether the DB is playing man, press or even zone coverage, I can quickly identify the most effective release at the snap of the ball. This helps me put my quarterback in the best passing situation or help create openings for my teammates as we run a spread offense.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I consistently have a strong work ethic. Whether it’s during training or practice. I strive to show that even when I am faced with challenging situations, I can still reach a potential many thought was not possible. I am always willing to give maximum effort no matter the circumstance. As a leader and team captain, I want to show my teammates and coaches I am reliable.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I was in Jr National Honor Society during Middle School.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Due to my leadership skills and strong work ethic, I was voted team captain for both 8th grade and freshman football season. I helped in community service through my church, volunteering for meal service at the YMCA and participating in the Gahanna’s GRIN program during the summer.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Being a student-athlete has its challenges, from juggling practices, lifting, film study, individual training sessions, and finding a way to manage my time to ensure that I still keep up with my school work. Also, I dealt with a fractured thumb at the end of the season that prevented me from doing any WR exercises using my hand. I learned the importance of resilience and pushing through.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that provides excellent education and supports my athletic goals. I need coaches who set high expectations, deliver insightful feedback, and focus on my continuous improvement. Additionally, I hope to have the opportunity to compete as a freshman.

Jase has been someone I’ve had my eye on this offseason. He attended our Stock Up Showcase in January and has been doing well with the Charg1ng 7v7 program. He should be a two-way player for the Greyhounds, starring at safety and wide receiver. He’s got a knack for getting to the ball with strong hands and coming down with it. He’s a good athlete who will show it in OCC play this upcoming season.
