Taylor’s impact on the field is oftentimes bigger than the numbers he puts up, but he’s still highly productive. He’s a menace up front and dominates the offensive line right at the point of attack. They focus on him, which creates opportunities for the guys around him. Friday night, he had the Norwell offense so paranoid that they gave him a few openings, and he took advantage. While he only had 5 total tackles and 1 TFL, his presence was what they were afraid of.

Taylor was awesome in the trenches in Week 1 and made his presence felt right away. He slowed the run game all night and forced the offense to work away from his side. He was shedding blocks and ending runs at the line. He finished with 11 tackles and 3 TFLs. Performances like that set the tone for a defense, and Taylor looked like the anchor up front.

Taylor quickly became a guy I love watching, and it’s hard not to see why. He just has that “it” factor on the inside that you can’t teach. The way he moves, stays active, uses his long arms, and gets off blocks makes him look like someone already built for the next level. He finished last season with 97 tackles, 18 TFLs, 8 sacks, and a fumble recovery. He has that natural feel for slipping gaps and making plays. I think he’s going to be a steal and one of those guys we look back on as an obvious next-level talent.

Thick thighs and strong upper half. Very quick and twitchy interior defensive end, especially for a wide-bodied frame, who can win on the first step. Can rip under, shed and be very disruptive. Can stunt inside and hold the point. Great pass rusher and good vs. the run. Great mauler who can defeat blocks and beat the chipper and still reach backfield. Hard to block.

Taylor has above-average size and is a key cornerstone of Luers’ defense, especially up-front. He is a stout defensive lineman who holds the point, has good anchor strength and is very good v. the run.

Taylor is a defensive lineman who is starting to come into his own and find his groove on the field. He’s a big lineman who can create pressure and does a good job using his hands. Right from the interior of the line, he’s able to create pressure and force the quarterback out of the pocket. He finished Friday with 2 sacks and now has 2 sacks in every game this year. Taylor isn’t the biggest name in the area, but he’s productive, has the size, and is turning into a heck of a player.
