Expert Analysis

Davis contributed in all three phases as a Knoxville sophomore in 2025. The defensive back/wide receiver hauled in four passes for 40 yards. On defense, he delivered five tackles, four of which were of the solo variety. Davis also was a special teams’ contributor, seeing action as a punt returner. He developed on the non-varsity level, too. With graduation losses, the speedy playmaker should receive more work in 2026. While we don’t have a lot of evidence as to his preparedness for the opportunity, his Hudl page does house video highlights from individual games last season. On them, we witness a prospect comfortable in the secondary, possessing the fluid movements and change-of-direction to stick with pass catchers in coverage. He also reads and reacts quickly to come up in run support. As a receiver, he gets in and out out of his breaks quickly, running smooth routes and putting DBs on their heels. Davis has a chance to break out this coming campaign.
