Expert Analysis

Jared’s season was cut short early due to injury, but now he’s back and ready to hit the ground running. Even with limited time on the field, he showed flashes of what he’s capable of, and there’s clear upside in his game. He approaches the position with confidence and looks comfortable operating the offense, showing the ability to make plays when given the opportunity.
What stands out is his resilience and mindset. Coming back from an injury isn’t easy, but Jared looks focused and motivated to make up for lost time. He’s the type of player that brings energy and competitiveness every snap, and you can tell he’s hungry to prove himself.
As he gets back into rhythm and continues to develop, expect Jared to take a big step forward. With a full season ahead, he has a real chance to showcase his ability and reestablish himself as a quarterback to keep an eye on.

Jared put on a show at the quarterback position, displaying poise, accuracy, and the ability to make plays both in the pocket and on the move. He consistently delivered the ball to his playmakers and added big impact with long runs that kept the defense on its heels. His vision, athleticism, and ability to extend plays made him a dual-threat, while his leadership helped guide the offense effectively throughout the game.

Great frame, raw arm talent, and sneaky acceleration. The upcoming junior out of Cypress has all the natural talents necessary to take the step forward as a top Lone Star gunslinger. Hagger can push the ball down the sidelines with great back shoulder accuracy. With improving mechanics and more experience, Hagger has the potential to progress from his 2,000 total yards and 21 total touchdowns from a season ago into a dual-threat monster in 2025. Holds offers from Louisiana and UTEP.

Hagger came into the Houston PRZ Next Camp in early April, as one of two middle school quarterbacks, that I felt could take home the MVP (2027 PRZ Next National Watchlist QB Braden Baker was the other). Ultimately it was the future Cypress Springs High School offensive leader that brought it home. Standing 6-foot-1, 180 pounds with the ability to place in Districts in the 100M hurdles, the future is blindingly bright.

Jared is another bigger quarterback with a cannon for an arm coming out of the state of Texas. At 6-foot and a thick 180-pounds, with one of the smoother throwing motions I have seen in recent film study, it is no surprise that Jared produces big numbers and big plays on the field. Jared’s arm strength allows him to take the ball deep whenever he wants to and has the touch to place the ball perfectly for his receivers. Jared also has fluent footwork that allows him to work through his progression seamlessly and deliver the ball to his best option on any given play. He moves his feet like like engine pistons and it aids in his distinct movement, allowing him to pick up some yards with his feet to. He’s already squatting 325-pounds and has a strong base and core, which allows for functional full body movement.
