Rothmeyer contributed in all three phases as a 10th-grader on the Central Springs varsity. The sophomore rushed for 570 yards (8.9 YPC) and six touchdowns and caught eight passes for 83 yards. On defense, 25 of this 30.5 tackles were solo stops. He had 1.5 tackles for loss, forced a pair of fumbles, recovered a fumble, intercepted a pass and was credited with nine passes defended. Rothmeyer averaged 11.5 yards on four kick returns. There’s not a lot of film on his Hudl page. During several clips of him playing running back, speed, burst and physicality show up on the film. Rothmeyer did enough as a underclassman to merit monitoring moving forward.
