Roach scored three rushing touchdowns, falling just one short of a 2A championship record. He rushed for 142 yards and was a key reason behind their big victory on Friday over Linton-Stockton.
A true stud in the QB class of 2027, this Dual Threat player can beat you with his legs and WILL beat you with his arm. He throws a tight, easy to catch spiral and has ice water in his veins as he runs the Jets option offense. An impressive overall athletic prospect, Jamison can squat over 500 pounds while also running a 4.56 40 yard dash AND being a 4.0 student in the classroom. Look for him to help Adams Central make another run at the state title game this season and be a HUGE name heading into his junior year of 2025. His Twitter handle is @J_Roach12
Roach is a guy we have covered since he was in Middle School and it’s fun to see the development in real-time. He’s heading into year 2 starting at Adams Central and the ceiling has never been higher for that program. Roach is a fantastic athlete and proved that once again Sunday. He ran a 4.68 40-yard dash and was in the top 5 for the shuttle drill. He’s got elite speed and change of direction which makes him a nightmare to bring down, but at the same time he’s got a good arm and can sling the rock. He’s got touch down the field and can fire one in a tight window around the intermediate depths. Everything with him seems to come easy and he always seems to have a smile on his face when on the field. I’m a big fan of Roach and felt this past Sunday was another good showing.

Adams Central | 2027 StateIN is off to a good start in 2023 and has been contributing to both JV and varsity as a DB and QB for the Flying Jets, whose varsity team sits at 8-0 in this budding 2023 season. A standout athlete, particularly compared to his fellow freshmen, Roach has some game as a QB and looks mobile and accurate on the move and outside the pocket, possesses a strong arm that can stretch the field and put zip on the rock when needed, and is a true dual-threat from the backfield and is elusive and fast when he tucks and runs and is capable doing a lot of damage to opposing defenses with his legs. As a DB, where he’s earned varsity reps, Roach gets out of his breaks well, attacks blocking attempts on the perimeter and does a good job of consistently shutting down screen attempts to his side of the field, and shows no problems contributing in run support and has recorded a significant amount of TFLs from his CB spot in 2023. He’s a three-phase threat with a solid foundation to build on the next three seasons. Don’t be surprised if the 5’10, 160 lber. is contributing to varsity heavily next fall as a sophomore.
