The Pioneers needed all of Jamir’s 131 rushing yards in their narrow win over Independence Friday evening. Brown has helped solidify Patriot’s playoff positioning but he has shown each week that he can be a lead running back at the next level. He had two scores in this contest and is approaching the 1,000 yard mark for the year. All of this while still contributing on defense and Patriot installing a freshman quarterback, needless to say Brown deserves proper recognition.

Patriot has quietly regrouped since their 0-2 start to back to. 500 play and running back Jamir Brown Jamir Brown 5'10" | 145 lbs | DB State VA is making plays. Only needing 6 carries to cross the 100 yard rushing mark in the Pioneers shutout of Unity Reed, Brown had 137 yards on the ground with 2 scores. He has more than filled in admirably replacing the production of Jackson McCarter, look for him to have a bigger role as the Pioneers begin conference play.

Watched Jamir Brown Jamir Brown 5'10" | 145 lbs | DB State VA last year against Gar-Field I was confident he was a playmaker. He too will join Kanu in transferring to play for Patriot the next two seasons. Brown is a good safety/outside linebacker with tremendous closing speed.
He has great range and will be fun watched paired next to Kanu this fall, one that should get him attention from colleges also.

Back healthy again Jamir Brown Jamir Brown 5'10" | 145 lbs | DB State VA is another major reason why I believe Unity Reed can have one of the top defenses in Prince William County. Playing both strong safety and outside linebacker Brown has great closing speed and footwork he really can be a weapon for the Lions defense. With a set of playmakers in the linebacker group, it may be in their best interest to keep Brown at safety and have as many stars on the field at once.
His footwork and speed alone are going to attract college coaches after his junior campaign, back healthy and determined are going to get him to the next level!

Another soon to be sophomore worth watching is hybrid safety/outside linebacker Jamir Brown Jamir Brown 5'10" | 145 lbs | DB State VA . Brown like his teammate Grayson gives Lions fans plenty of reason for optimism on the future as he is a very smart football player. Running both at linebacker and strong safety in his squad’s 3-3-5 defense he typically is the one on tape making game saving tackles. He has great closing speed and you do not see him error much and he never plays out of position.
