West is positionally versatile and can line up in the backfield, slot, or on the perimeter, can go up and high-point the football, and does a good job of finding space and improvising to his QB when a play breaks down he’s rolling out. He’s also enticingly twitchy, and generates noticeable and impressive power when he sticks his foot in the ground and cuts laterally, which aides him both after the catch and when running routes. He also can break his routes of well and is effective running double-moves, particularly hitch-and-gos and post-corners, can get DBs lunging at the LOS with his impressive releases, has the speed to take the top off the defense and win vertically, and show off a mean spin move and a good repertoire to beat would-be tacklers in the open field. West hasn’t reported any offers or recruiting interest as of yet, which makes him a real Chicago sleeper who could really benefit a collegiate WR room.
