About Jake

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I love to dissect defenses and pick them apart! I feel like I'm playing chess while the defense is playing checkers. I would also say, I’m an improviser, when things don’t go as planned, I find a way to make it happen.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I view myself as a leader, trying to lift everyone up around me. I'm a competitor always wanting to continue the fight and put in the work everyday.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have earned A honor role at St. Pius X private school. I play 7 on 7 for Strongside KC, this season I earned MVP in the Mid West Showdown.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I try to pull people in by working hard and picking people up when they don’t wanna go anymore or doubt themselves.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

During preseason I faced an Achilles tendon sprain my freshman summer camp. This is the first time I had ever had a sprain. It was a scary but rehabbed it and took good care of it. I ended up playing the entire rest of the season healthy and have had no issues since.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a place that feels like home and is the best place for me at the right time.
