Padilla is a 5’8, 190 lbs running back out of Taft. He runs low to the ground and has the elusiveness to avoid tacklers in tight windows. He displays a variety of moves in the open field, including a smooth jump cut, a quick stutter step, and an elite spin move that leaves opposing defenders on their knees. Very quick in space, Padilla is a tough back to bring down with just one guy and when there are multiple tacklers on him, he isn’t afraid to lower his shoulder and deliver the boom. Jaiden is a ball of power and short area agility. The 5’8″ 190 lbs junior is a stout, sturdy back. He is built with a low center of gravity that he uses to make impressive, twitchy agile moves or run through contact. It is impressive watching how Jaiden can go from one play where he runs through a tackle or moves the pile 5 yards downfield, and then in the next clip he will hit multiple spin moves leaving defenders tackling air. Padilla is able to play through the trash in the front seven, and isn’t slowed down by obstacles around his legs. Take a look at the tape.
