If any coach in the college ranks is looking for a hidden gem with his best football days ahead of him, Cupples could be your guy! Sporting great size, length and natural athletic abilities, Cupples is a highly intriguing prospect that brings a lot of tools to the football field that can translate well to the next level. The Panthers senior linebacker can run as he shows excellent range and closing speed on film along with the athletic skills to be a defensive playmaker. The great thing about Cupples is that he is still a bit raw as he was a long time basketball player that finally transitioned fully to football two years ago, so he is still coming into his own. Cupples brings a versatile skill set to his position as he could line up outside to play in space as well as rush the backfield but also the physicality and size to make a difference at inside linebacker as well. His sudden movements and quickness to the ball is what excites me the most. Cupples looks like a heat seeking missile on film that I foresee getting faster and quicker as he continues to grow into his body. Recruiting interest isn’t there yet for this Riverside linebacker but I feel he will see a major spike in interest once we get into the season and his new film starts making its rounds. This is a true underrated talent that is in line for a breakout senior season, so keep an eye out for this West Tennessee backer moving forward.Junior Film #Panthers
