I appreciate getting the chance to evaluate Jae during this 7v7 shootout because he had himself a day. His tight backpedal and smooth overall mechanics drew me to his game from the jump. From there he continued to show off how technically sound he is by sticking his foot in the ground, exploding out of his backpedal and driving on not one but two interceptions that I saw. When defending fade balls or anything near the sideline he was able to stay in the receivers hip pocket and squeeze them to the sideline. All in all, Rich put on a defensive clinic day 1.

Westland Glenn is a team to keep an eye on. The results aren’t there in the win column, but we can definitely see improvement. Jae Rich Jae Rich 5'11" | 175 lbs | DB/ATH John Glenn-Westland | 2027 MI is one of those players who will push the needle.

Kicking off Jae’s tape is an impressive interception. His teammate tips it up, and Jae does a great job coming down with it just before the ball hits the turf. At 0:17, Jae shows off some great man coverage against a formidable WR. Real nice job getting a hand on the slight underthrow.
Finally, at 0:37, Jae shows off his play recognition and reaction time. Once that ball came out, Jae exploded toward the receiver. Didn’t seem like the receiver was expecting the ball, but that was honestly in the receiver’s best interest.

I like Jae’s all-around effort. The fundamentals are getting there, too. Good football player, and a possible college prospect in the spring.
