Weaver doesn’t just rush the passer; he is also very stout against the run, capable of shedding double teams and setting the edge. As an underclassman, Weaver has already picked up multiple MAC offers, with more likely to come.

Weaver is an impressive defensive end who burst onto the scene last season for Sandburg. The 6’3, 230 lbs playmaker displayed polished pass rushing skills and footwork throughout his sophomore campaign. He plays with high energy and a high motor, never giving up on a play until the whistle blows. In the run game, Weaver showcases great physicality and understanding of his assignment, as he can control his gap through strength while also possessing the athleticism to play his gap through run movements up front. As he continues to develop at his craft, Weaver is poised for a monster junior campaign.

The 6’3″ 240 lbs sophomore is a big time mismatch for OL at the HS level. Weaver has shown a consistently explosive first step, and the big man is able to instantly turn it into power at the point of contact. He does a great job of using his hands and making first contact with them. Jaden uses his length to make room for him to use a pass rush move to beat blocks. The sophomore is a force in the trenches, and is able to effect plays even if he doesn’t get to the ball. The sophomore is already earning FBS offers.

Jaden Weaver Jaden Weaver 6'3" | 240 lbs | DL Carl Sandburg | 2026 State IL played NG, 3T and 5T in 2022 and also competes in basketball and lacrosse for the Eagles. Weaver has a dynamic and physically impressive skillset for his age, which includes an eye-popping get-off and great twitch, a powerful & sturdy base, and good strength that can hold his ground, fight off 1-on-1 and double teams, and make tackles through contact. I also love his motor, his punch can turn blockers hips when it finds paydirt, and he’s a powerful tackler who crumples and sends ball carriers backwards when he puts his pads on them. The more I watch Weaver’s tape the more I like it. Big things coming for this young man, I can’t wait to watch him in 2023.
