Jaden is already giving us a glimpse of just how special he could become by the time he’s a senior. In his latest varsity game, the freshman carried the ball 12 times for 135 yards and three touchdowns, averaging an impressive 11.3 yards per carry. Putting up those kinds of numbers against varsity competition at such a young age is no small accomplishment. He’s showing that he can handle opportunities at the highest level of high school football and make the most of his touches.
Hodges showcased his versatility and value as a playmaker in a victory over Morton Ranch. He rushed for 132 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries while adding 77 receiving yards and another score on 3 catches.
Hodges displayed excellent quickness and decisiveness as a runner, hitting open lanes without hesitation and fighting through tacklers for extra yardage. His ability to make an impact on the ground and through the air gives the offense a dangerous weapon.
It was an impressive performance from Hodges, who will be a player to watch as he continues to gain experience as a freshman.
Jaden had a solid day at wide receiver, showing steady improvement throughout camp and working with good effort on every rep. He ran his routes with decent pace and began to look more comfortable as the session went on, especially when stacking defenders and working into open space.
I also had the chance to see Jaden live at a Prep Redzone Next Camp, and his growth from spring 7-on-7 work carried over well into the camp setting. There’s a noticeable increase in comfort and confidence when he’s competing against higher-level talent.
At wide receiver, he showed improved control in his routes, getting in and out of breaks with better balance and more purpose. He’s starting to understand spacing a little better, which helped him consistently present himself as an option during drills and competitive periods.
On the defensive side at DB, Jaden competed well in coverage situations. He stayed engaged, showed better route recognition, and was more patient when breaking on the ball. He’s still developing technically, but the effort and awareness stood out in live reps.
Seeing him in person confirmed the direction he’s trending Jaden is steadily refining his game on both sides of the ball, and his continued work in 7-on-7 and camp environments is clearly paying off as a 2030 WR/DB to monitor.
Jaden is already ahead of the game, showing a level of polish and confidence that separates him from his peers. His instincts, athleticism, put him in a position to continue improving rapidly, and it’s clear his ceiling is extremely high. Whether running routes, tracking the ball, or making plays after the catch, Jaden consistently demonstrates why he’s a player to watch — the tools are there, and the potential for growth is off the charts.
