Del Norte defensive lineman Jacob Zierolf Jacob Zierolf 6'5" | 245 lbs | DL/EDGE Del Norte-San Diego | 2027 CA announced his commitment to Army on Monday.

Zierolf had 14 tackles, three for a loss, three sacks with a forced fumble last season.

Air Force also offered Zierolf and he had camp invites to Drake and Northern Arizona. He is one of two players from California in Army’s 2027 recruiting class and one of five defensive lineman.

Zierolf picked up his first pair of D-I offers from Air Force and Army this month. The 6’5″/245 EDGE defender flashed his upside as a pass rusher last season totaling 3 sacks and 3 TFLs as a junior. He’s a lengthy disruptor that plays with a consistently high motor and plays physical in the run game. He’s a little stiff in the hips and his lateral agility at this stage but has the frame and physicality to potentially move to the interior at the next level. Zierolf is a player to monitor throughout the offseason.
