Standing an imposing 6-foot-8 and 300 pounds, Jake Carter looked every bit like a future Division I standout during the Kentucky Future Stars matchup. Already holding offers from Louisville, Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky, and several other programs, Carter showed exactly why he’s one of the most highly recruited offensive linemen in his class. A dominant force at the line of scrimmage, “Big Jake” consistently shut down defenders and gave the Kentucky backfield all the time it needed to operate, making it nearly impossible for Tennessee to generate any pressure. Combining rare size, strength, and a relentless physical edge, Carter plays well beyond his years and has all the tools to compete at the varsity level and eventually on Saturdays in college football. Keep an eye on this young man, because his name is one you’ll be hearing for years to come.

I am not sure what they are feeding the Kentucky youth, but boy oh boy are these some massive children – perhaps none more massive than Jacob Carter. Much to my surprise, Carter moved extremely well for a prospect of his size and age. He was able to kick step while keeping his post foot close to the ground for stability. Although he lost off the edge to a much smaller prospect who, frankly, seemed to be trying to run around him, Carter was a brick wall with agile feet. Additionally, Carter played to the whistle and finished, showcasing a bit of a nasty streak to him. I would not be surprised if he is ranked a top #10 offensive lineman nationally in the class of 2030 when it is all said and done. Carter is an elite prospect.

I am additionally impressed with Jacob Carter Jacob Carter 6'6" | 346 lbs | OL/DL Boyd County | 2030 KY , an offensive lineman/defensive lineman at Boyd County High School. Carter is going to be a huge addition to the Lions’ offensive line this upcoming season. The talented incoming freshman boasts excellent size, outstanding speed off the snap, and great strength. I also really like how Carter can read the defense and use his body to slow down the blitz.

Carter was another impressive lineman who was in attendance this past weekend. The future Boyd County prospect, showcased elite strength and has a massive big frame at 6’6″ 346. He has a high IQ, and can move players off the line. Carter is a future top prospect and he has elite strength and potential which I saw first hand this past weekend.

Jacob Carter – came away with OL MVP honors post camp. Was named O-line fastest man. Passed the eye test better than anyone present. A massive incoming freshman in Kentucky who impressed in indi’s just as much as he did during 1v1s. Took on coaching with intent to learn. Calling card certainly lower back and lower body strength and balance. Could have won a few more 1v1s reps, but his winning reps were overly dominant. The overall top offensive line prospect present, and looked like it. Fantastic grip strength, good punch, and clamp, and did not have his hands countered or slip off of shirts. This is a set in stone Power Four offensive tackle prospect. To weigh 340 pounds, stand at 6’7″, and still look lean and move as well as he did is rare on a national spectrum.
