About Jackson
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
True pocket passer with a high football IQ who processes coverages quickly, sets protections, and gets the ball out on time. Accurate with ball placement and comfortable making pre-snap reads while staying poised in the pocket. Can extend plays and use my legs when needed.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
Natural born leader who loves to bring energy, confidence and positivity to the team. I enjoy life, competition and building relationships, as I can get along with just about anyone. Love to build relationships with my teammates, while also understanding the importance of discipline, preparation and accountability. Respected by coaches, teachers and my teammates for the way I carry myself.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I'm actively involved with my youth group at church. We've been blessed with a new Youth Leader, so he's starting to build some ideas/plans for us, and he's invited us to help with ideas on how to grow, how to extend grace and mercy to others in the community and bring more people to Christ.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I've developed leadership and teamwork by learning to always put the team first and lead by example. As a QB, I've understood the importance of doing whatever helps the team succeed without complaining or putting myself above others. Off the field, I've volunteered through my church, helping with turkey giveaways, backpack giveaways and other community outreach events.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
After transferring schools and learning new offensive systems back-to-back years, I had to embrace the role of QB2 during important developmental years, while continuing to stay prepared, support teammates, and improve daily. I've also navigated through some difficult family circumstances during this time, which has tested my mental toughness and my faith, but I just remember, God is in control.
What type of college are you looking for?
Looking for a college that feels like the right fit both academically and athletically. A program built on trust, development, accountability, and strong relationships. I want the opportunity to lead, compete, learn through adversity, and continue growing as a QB and a young man. I value great coaching, strong team culture and the chance to earn a quality education while creating lasting memories.
