Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
Highly technical athlete. I’m a patient, lockdown corner who specializes on the left side of the field. I’m comfortable in coverage from 0 through 6, with a strength in man coverage. Offensively, I’m an all-purpose back who hits the holes decisively and contributes as a slot receiver. I’m also a dangerous kick returner, capable of taking it to the house on every return.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I’m a calm, quiet, high-IQ athlete and student of the game who leads by example and helps my teammates get into the right position. Coaches have always called me a technician because of my commitment to fundamentals. I’m a fundamental tackler, runner, and defensive back who focuses on doing the little things right and always makes the extra effort to make a play.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I’ve been a starter on Team Lillard 7v7 since 8th grade, competing against top talent and developing my skills as a versatile playmaker. Academically, I maintain a 4.0 GPA while taking International Baccalaureate (IB) classes at Tigard High School. I focus my time on athletics and academics.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I’m naturally a quiet person, but coaches have always asked me to be a leader. I take things seriously and get along well with everyone, so they rely on me to help other players get in the best positions to make plays. I also make it a point to mentor younger players.
After my JV season ended sophomore year, I was named starting CB and KR for Varsity for our playoff run.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
I haven't faced any significant challenges, but our 8th grade team lost every single game we played after our 40-player roster split into two teams. Every injury hurt the team, and it was a learning experience about staying together. The next year in high school, we had to re-learn how to win again.
What type of college are you looking for?
My dream is to play football for the University of Oregon and compete at the highest level. But if my body doesn’t get me to the FBS or FCS level, I want to prioritize academics and find a great campus experience while still playing for a team that supports me and helps me pursue a business degree.
