Irwin is faster than most defensive ends and was at the top of nearly all the speed tests at the Prep Redzone Stock Up Showcase.
He is such a good athlete that he has an offer as a receiver. His pad level is excellent and he has a variety of pass rush moves. He forced four fumbles and has a knack for finding the ball.
Western New Mexico has offered him and he recently visited Sacramento State.

Irwin may have been one of the best overall athletes at the Showcase. He played defensive line but has an offer as a receiver. He ran a 4.88 40 and a 4.33 shuttle. Like Bachhhuber, Irwin uses his length well and is very fast off the edge. He is stronger than his frame suggests and he is putting on muscle right now. Irwin will play in the OC All Star game and could be a late steal for a college team this spring.

Irwin was the Sunset League Defensive Linemen of the Year which is very impressive considering it may be the best public school league in Southern California.
He had 60 tackles, 9 for a loss with 6.5 sacks for an Edison team that reached the Division 1 playoffs. He also had three touchdowns as a receiver.
Irwin will also play in the Orange County All Star game in February.

The receiving numbers did not jump off the page for Irwin like some of the other guys on this list, but he was very good and had one of the best all-around games of the week.
Irwin caught three passes for 59 yards and scored touchdowns on all three of his receptions.
He also blocked a punt and had two tackles for a loss.
