Senior Jackson Gain Jackson Gain 6'4" | QB Grove | 2025 OK moved over to quarterback last season and became one of the better dual-threat quarterbacks in the class. He put up some solid numbers throughout the 2023 season but he got hurt late in the regular season. Gain would go down in week seven and he would miss the final three games. Coincidentally, the Ridgerunners would go 0-3 without their starting quarterback. This season, we think that Gain could be one of the legitimate breakout stars in Class 4A this season. If he stays healthy and plays the full year, he could see his production absolutely explode. We saw him this spring at the Wagoner team camp and he passed the eye test.

The first player to watch for Grove is going to be 2025 standout Jackson Gain Jackson Gain 6'4" | QB Grove | 2025 OK and the biggest question will be where he lines up on the field this season. Gain was one of Grove’s top receiving threats last season with nearly 30 catches for over 450 yards and four touchdowns on the year. But coming into this season, Gain is listed on the roster at the quarterback position and the Ridgerunners could be replacing Trimble with one of Trimble’s top targets in the passing game. We mentioned how one of the bigger questions we had for Grove was how they would replace the production from the backfield. Gain could be the answer for at least one of those positions.

We JUST updated our 2025 rankings and guess what, we have another player that should have been on that list. That’s how it goes whenever we do any ranking update. And on Friday night, it didn’t take long to realize that not only should tight end Jackson Gain Jackson Gain 6'4" | QB Grove | 2025 OK have been on the list, but he was going to have an impact on Friday’s game. He finished with a pair of catches for 35 yards and he also had seven carries for 36 yards. You just look at Gain physically and he passes the eye test. He stands around 6’4 or 6’5 and is a match-up nightmare for opposing defenses. And he’s a pretty solid athlete for his age and size, able to move around a little bit. We definitely want to see more of Gain moving forward because he impressed Friday.
