Jack Lonaker Jack Lonaker 6'0" | 215 lbs | LB Cooper | 2024 State KY is a player that has been high on my radar for a while now and has had a strong senior season. He continued to impress in Cooper’s semifinal win over Highlands last week. Lonaker lined up at inside linebacker where he did a great job against the run. He does a good job of reading his keys and coming downhill in a hurry to get to the ball carrier. Once he gets to the ball carrier, Lonaker explodes through contact and finishes his tackles with a ton of physicality. Jack finished the game as his team’s leading tackler with 18. Lonaker currently holds multiple offers and I expect him to be a very reliable linebacker wherever he ends up playing at the next level. Jack and the Jaguars will face off against Bowling Green in the 5A State Championship Game this Saturday.

He lines up at inside linebacker where he does a great job of reading his keys and flowing to the ball in a hurry to stop the run. Lonaker plays with a high motor and has shown the ability to run sideline to sideline to make tackles in the open field. He finished the regular season with 105 tackles and six tackles for loss. Lonaker has also shown the ability to blitz and get to the quarterback, showing the ability to time the snap count perfectly to burst through his gap before opposing offensive linemen can react. He finished the regular season with four sacks. Jack also showed the ability to make plays in pass coverage, finishing the regular season with one interception. Lonaker currently holds offers from Lindsey Wilson, Massachusetts Maritime, Thomas More, Baldwin Wallace, and Mount Saint Joseph, and I could see more coming his way as he has the talent to be a productive linebacker at the next level.

Jack lines up at linebacker where he is very impressive against the run. He does a great job of reading his keys and getting downhill with a sense of urgency to meet ball carriers before they can get going. Lonaker is currently the 5A leader in tackles with 76 along with five tackles for loss. He has also shown the ability to rush the passer and drop into coverage, coming away with two sacks and an interception so far. Jack currently holds offers from Baldwin Wallace, Massachusetts Maritime, Thomas More, and Mount Saint Joseph, and I expect more to come his way as he has the talent to play at the next level.

Once he gets to the football, Lonaker does a great job of running his feet through contact to secure the tackle. He finished the game with 23 tackles. Lonaker was very impressive against the run, showing the ability to read his keys and flow to the ball quickly to make tackles. He finished the game with 17 tackles and three tackles for loss. Lonaker also showed some ability as a pass rusher, finishing Friday’s game with two sacks. Jack currently holds offers from Thomas More, Mount Saint Joseph, and Baldwin Wallace, and I expect more to come his way as he has the talent to play at the next level.

Lonaker had an impressive junior season, finishing with 148 tackles and three forced fumbles. Jack plays inside linebacker and does a great job of reading his keys and coming downhill in a hurry against the run. Once he gets to the football, Lonaker is a very reliable open field tackler and finishes his tackles with a ton of physicality. Jack has also shown the ability to drop into coverage and read route combinations to put himself in position to make plays on the ball. Lonaker doesn’t currently hold any offers but I expect some to come his way going into his senior year as he has received a nice amount of college interest and has the talent to play somewhere at the next level.

Lonaker had a very productive junior regular season, finishing with 134 total tackles. He does a great job of reading his keys and coming downhill in a hurry against the run. Once he gets to the ball, he is a very good open field tackler and finishes his tackles with a ton of physicality. Lonaker is also reliable in pass coverage, showing the ability to read route combinations and put himself in a position to make a play on the ball. While Jack doesn’t currently hold any offers, I expect him to pick some up soon as he has been receiving a lot of college interest and has the talent to play somewhere at the next level.

Jack is a vigorous middle linebacker that knows how to turn the tide over to his defense’s advantage. In other words, Lonaker is spectacular at making crucial stops and putting out lots of pressure on the offense. Jack currently leads the entire state 5A class with tackles per game, currently sitting at 14 per game. From watching Jack play, there is one word I can think of when it comes to him making plays: Brutality. His strength and speed off a blitz enable him to make hard hits that knock off the momentum of the offense. No matter where the ball carrier is at, if Jack puts at least a finger on them, they are most likely getting taken down. I believe many college LB coaches would love to recruit Jack after seeing what he can do on the football field.

A more under-the-radar linebacker that I am high on is Jack Lonaker Jack Lonaker 6'0" | 215 lbs | LB Cooper | 2024 State KY .  The inside linebacker is continuing to improve off an impressive sophomore season as he is currently second in the entire state with 68 total tackles and leads the state in tackles per game with 17. Against the run, he does a great job of reading his keys and takes good angles to get to the ball. Once he gets to the ball carrier, he is a very reliable open field tackler and brings a ton of physicality with him. He is also reliable in pass coverage as he is very fluid in his drops and has shown the ability to break on the ball to catch interceptions in stride. Lonaker doesn’t currently hold any offers but he is a player to watch over the next two seasons as he has been receiving college interest and has the talent to play somewhere at the next level.
