Montoya is an under the radar quarterback who excels at the intermediate passing game. While still refining his accuracy and working to limit turnovers, Montoya has the tools to develop into a strong signal caller. His ability to escape the pocket and extend plays is an asset, particularly in redzone situations where he rushed for 154 yards and five touchdowns. Montoya’s ability to dissect defenses with short to midrange throws allows him to move the chains efficiently. However, consistency in decision making will be his biggest focus this offseason. If he can tighten up his passing mechanics and improve his accuracy, he could take the next step as a high-impact player.

Montoya was a good timing QB that was able to hit on the quick routes, he was able to get to his drop and get the ball out of his hands quickly. He has good ball placement and gave his receivers a chance to go up and make a play. He looks like an under the radar player that will turn some heads this season.
