About Isaiah
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I would say I'm an all around threat you could place me anywhere and I get it done. For example I had to learn how to play center this year because we had no center and I picked it up fast and dominated the rest of the season. I model my game after people like Trent Williams’ lane Johnson and Rashawn slater. From a quarterbacks perspective I’m the type of guy you would want blocking for you.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I fit more into a leader/motivator type of role I’ve been a captan for offensive line my whole life. I encourage some of the other guys to come work out with me or train with me. I’m a great person to be around I’m always lifting the spirits up but when it’s time to get competitive, I get competitive.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
Last year I traveled down to Florida to play for the national Illinois team. Even though we lost out there I played my best and took in and learned a lot from other great athletes I was surrounded by.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Like I said I developed leadership. For example my left guard on my team was new and he didn’t know any of the plays. I helped him out by pointing out his man to him or even sometimes giving his man a little bump so I can get him started. I would say my team work is incredible. I’ve been playing with these same boys for years now
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
One challenge I faced was switching from guard to center. This was hard because I’ve been a guard all my life and it hurt to have to switch positions. But if it was gonna help my team improve I would gladly do it no problem. I started off a little shaky in the offseason but since im a fast learner I picked up on it and became a really good center. I went from hating the position to loving it.
What type of college are you looking for?
I’m looking for somewhere where I fit into the schemes and playbook. Good coaching staff and upper class men role models I can take notes from
