He missed a good chunk of the middle of the season but came back late during the regular season. When he’s healthy, Guthrie is one of the best teams in Class 5A. Even without him, the Blue Jays showed that their running game can still be effective. But adding him into the lineup will certainly provide the Blue Jays with a boost. It’s been a while since Guthrie was a true state championship contender in Class 5A, but with Hammons in the backfield, they are just that.
