Friese is a good athlete with verified size at the position, and he did a good job of battling and competing against a variety of different rushers. Friese is a strong kid who could handle bull rushers effectively, flashed a great first step, and did a solid job of staying square, running his feet, and continually working for optimal body and hand positioning. Earned some tough wins versus speed, power, and twitch in Grand Forks. Did a good job of applying the coaching he was receiving in real time as well.

Friese, thanks to some verified size and athleticism, was a flexible, quick, physical, and overall athletic prep tackle who performed well enough to earn his first D1 offer, as the University of North Dakota offered after the PJ Fleck RTB Prospect Camp concluded. No doubt one of the top performers and overall winners from the first Gopher camp of the summer. Great to finally see Friese in person too, he lived up to the hype. Someone’s earned a ranking’s bump!
