has that sneaky speed you need to look out for. Exploding out of the backfield, Isa gets down the field quickly and puts himself in a position to go one-on-one with a defender in the open field. Isa’s quick step allows him to pivot and change directions with speed, forcing defenders to whiff on tackles. Though Isa is on the lighter side, he has shown that he has strength in his legs to continue marching forward down the field.
What may be most impressive is Isa’s balance and ability to stay upright as defenders zero in on him. Isa can absorb the force of the tackle and redistribute it, rarely going down from a hit from up high. Rushing for 361 yards and 5 touchdowns in 2023, Isa has a lot to build on next season.

Isa Thomas, standing at 5’6″ and 145 pounds, may be one of the shorter backs in his class, but he makes up for it with his explosive running style. With good bursts through the holes and natural leverage, Thomas demonstrates impressive contact balance for his size. He exhibits patience in his running, allowing plays to develop before accelerating into open lanes. However, Thomas is still a raw runner, with room for improvement in his footwork and balance. He occasionally struggles with maintaining his balance, particularly after initial contact, which limits his effectiveness on the field. Despite this, his exceptional speed, clocking in at 4.4, is a standout attribute that sets him apart from his peers.Thomas relies heavily on his athleticism at the moment, but with better fundamentals and understanding of run-blocking schemes, he could further maximize his potential as a dangerous playmaker. By honing his footwork and learning to read blocks more effectively, Thomas could become even more of a threat on the field, utilizing his speed to its fullest extent. In addition to his abilities as a running back, Thomas also showcases electrifying talent as a kick returner. With his explosive speed and playmaking ability, he has the potential to make a significant impact on both offense and special teams. With continued development and refinement of his skills, Issa Thomas has the potential to be a dynamic presence on the field.

was still as close to lock-down-corner as it gets. Tacked on another inch of height and is now up to 5-foot-5 with noticeably more muscular then when we saw him last in January. With the added size, he didn’t lose a step in his coverage ability and was hand-timed at a 4.5 and 4.56 in the forty. He still isn’t sure what high school he’ll be at next year. Stay tuned.

made Wide Receivers on the 2027 National Watchlist look completely mundane. At 5-foot-4 and 140-pounds he plays fearlessly and locks down Isa Island.
