I’ve discussed Hunter at length several times in the past month and a half. The fact of the matter is that if Hunter or I never went to the MHSAA Camp in Farmington, he wouldn’t be on the rankings. I’m extremely glad he came because he outperformed several starting OAA Quarterbacks. Hunter immediately impressed with by-far the best accuracy during basic drills (catch, throwing hitch, etc). Later at camp, Hunter demonstrated incredibly impressive accuracy deep downfield, and limited his mistakes against some GREAT Defensive Backs. Hunter may not have the IQ or experience, but as a talent, I’d recommend him to any NAIA or D3 program.

I’ve covered Hunter quite a bit as of late, but I absolutely couldn’t keep him off this list. This will be a retread of my past coverage, as I’ve said just about everything I’ve needed to say about Hunter. Naturally talented, with great throw power and tremendous accuracy downfield. Quarterbacks playing 8-man football oftentimes get written off, and I would have if Hunter didn’t have an incredible day at the MHSAA Showcase in Farmington. Against some of the best DBs in Oakland country, Hunter consistently put the ball in a place where only his receiver could get it. I don’t think Hunter has the experience or IQ to play in the GLIAC, but I would recommend any D3 or NAIA team take a close look at Hunter.

I’m not sure how many colleges are looking at Hunter, but he’s sure as heck on my radar after watching him at the HAWK. For a QB playing 8-man football, he was incredible. I actually covered Hunter just two days ago, but I can’t help but continue to pound the table for him. His accuracy, throw power, and overall talent are incredible. He doesn’t have amazing IQ, and the regular-season competition obviously isn’t the best. Even though there are some unavoidable flaws, I strongly believe that Hunter can be a future starting College QB.

Hunter may be the biggest shock of the offseason so far. I’ve frankly never seen such a talented Quarterback playing 8-man football. Training alongside a few QBs I know, Hunter consistently performed best in drills and showcased great throw power, accuracy, and consistency. Once the competition portion began, Hunter made countless phenomenal throws to all parts of the field. Even against tight coverage, Hunter placed the ball right where it needed to be. Like most small-school QBs, Hunter’s IQ and fundamentals aren’t where they need to be. If Hunter can improve in these aspects like I think he can, then he could see himself earning D3 or maybe even a GLIAC offer.
