has taken 62 carries for 681 yards (11 yards per carry) and 14 touchdowns through our weeks this season.
Opposing defenses just flat-out cannot arm-tackle Curley. One of the hardest runners in Class A, Curley isn’t afraid to stiff-arm defenses to death. A running back who loves contact and will fight through tackles like its his job, Curley also possesses a lateral quickness where he can put his foot in the ground and bounce to the outside of the defense for a long score.

quickly grew over the course of his junior season as one of the most exciting players on Wapsie Valley’s roster to watch. His 10 sacks ranked 2nd most among all Class-A defenders last season, recording a total 48 tackles, 17.5 TFLs, and 4 fumble recoveries. His size doesn’t exactly match for a DE, but he’s got plenty of speed and flexible bend on his pursuits to get outside the Tackle, while showing a relentless motor toward chasing down the QB trying to evade the pressure, and his knack of finding and stealing the ball from the offense makes him a difference-maker in games. Curley is slated to receive much more reps as the No. 1 RB on the offense next season, and he’ll look to continue increasing his volume in making big-plays in the pass-rush as he will in the ground game.

saw limited play-time in 2023, but proved promising, averaging 5.2 yards per carry on 56 touches on the ground. With previous starting RB Traeton Sauerbrei having graduated, Curley is due for a lot more playing time in 2024. Curley is a dynamic runner, with solid speed and his ability to squeeze through tight gaps on the trenches is impressive. Curley has been effective in a variety of roles, running routes out of the slot position, playing well at LB, and he’s also been effective as a blocker, both in the run game and on special teams. Curley’s role on the team should expand greatly over the next 2 seasons.
