Hugo Spoo Hugo Spoo 6'3" | TE East Ridge | 2028 MN is a 2028 TE prospect who is looking and playing like a future D1 signee on tape so far through six games of 2026 action. Listed at 6’3, 225 lbs. in his X profile, Spoo, in addition to his sweet name, is flashing some very exciting traits and skills against 6A competition and defenses this fall.

Spoo’s midseason highlights display a massive, looming, well-built HB/TE on first look in film. The junior opens his midseason tape with a big catch-and-run against Hopkins, where he flew down the seam, got up, and plucked the ball out of the air, showing good coordination and a big catch radius that can elevate and play the ball in the air effectively. Then gets vertical, steps, and works through a tackle attempt at his legs, runs through another half-tackle/arm tackle attempt, and gains another 20 yards before he hawked down and pushed out of bounds after another 20-25 yards.

Spoo can align as a traditional inline TE or as a HB, and also lines up as a fullback in the I-formation in the Raptors‘ backfield. He displays great hands and can also hand fight effectively and create separation off the LOS with good technique. Spoo can slide off, step through, truck, and/or run through tackle attempts easily and impressively. Really visible smoothness and fluidity, not to mention strength and balance, when he breaks tackles, which happens a lot with the ball in hand. Spoo also demonstrates good burst, and you can tell that East Ridge’s offense intentionally schemes to get Spoo the ball and get it to him in space, where he’s most dangerous and a legit nightmare of a 1v1 tackling assignment for second- and third-level defenders.

Spoo is an asset on screens, runs behind his pads, and looks to punish defenders as a blocker and ball carrier; as a fullback, he’s a crushing blocker and short-yardage/goal-line option. The 225 lber. is a versatile, particularly effective pass-catching option around the first and second levels of the field, as well as a goal-line and/or short-yardage back. PRZMN is absolutely itching to get some live eyes on this kid ASAP.
