Hertz led all sophomores in San Diego last season with 1011 yards on 62 catches with 14 touchdowns for La Jolla Country Day and has since transferred to University City.

He had a strong showing at the Prep Redzone Stock Up Showcase in January. Hertz was very good in the one-on-one period that day and is a strong route runner.

Hertz broke out as San Diego’s most productive sophomore wideout with over 1,000 receiving yards and 17 TDs on 62 catches. He was an attendee at our PRZ CA Showcase in January where he impressed with his testing numbers and route-running ability in the 1v1 period. He’s a dynamic athlete that proved to be an effective vertical threat with his straight-line speed and exceptional ball skills. He can bring in passes outside his frame with strong, reliable hands and is a slick, elusive playmaker after the catch. Hertz transferred to University City this offseason and will be one of the top junior wideouts to watch in the fall.
