Tripp is easily one of the best linebackers in the state. He plays with aggression and effort you cannot teach and brings his pads behind every tackle. His 12.5 tackles for loss shows he can read the run and trigger efficiently. He makes his money in the box and always flows downhill looking to make plays near line of scrimmage. His discipline, technique, and motor help him avoid missed and broken tackles. Even though he is labeled as in inside linebacker he possess the athleticism to move in space and play in a “Will” spot if needed. Not to mention he looks the part of ideal “MIke” backer and can easily lead the defense with the IQ he has. Throw on his tape and you’ll see the value he adds to a defense, Tripp will shine in whatever role he is given because he is that type of athlete.

Tripp’s size immediately stands out on film. He’s built like a wrecking ball, with a tremendously lower body strength and is ripped in his upper half. Not only that, he’s also a phenomenal athlete who carries his frame well. Tripp hits with a ton of power, exploding downhill and putting his strength to work, driving ball carriers to the dirt and running through them. He can change directions with ease, making him a threat to make a play on the ball carrier or get the ball in the air and disrupt passes. Tripp has great instincts when reading the play, making the right read and flying through running lanes to meet the ball carrier in the hole.
