Dunkel checks into our rankings just inside the top 100 overall in the 2024 class across Idaho, and as a top fifteen player at his position. He is a smooth defender with fluid hips in transition, triggers quickly to ball carriers in the flats and run support and shows he can tackle in the open field with closing speed and takes good angles to ball carriers. He has natural ball skills in transition and shows he can play both press man coverage or off-zone and is a high IQ player the baits quarterbacks into bad decisions over the middle and on the outside. He is a D-III caliber kid that deserves a shot at the next level.
