About Graham

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I try to learn all aspects of play to make myself better. At my age, it makes me better to learn all aspects of the game. I play hard nosed football and step up on contact. You aren’t hitting me, I’m always hitting you. This supports my primary defensive position of Defensive End. I will play wherever I’m needed to help the team succeed and play it hard every down.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am friends with everyone. I am driven in the sense that I know it’s the work you put in outside of practice and games that makes you better. I work on my game year round. I started with my trainer Nacarius Fant at the age of 8 and continue on a weekly basis year-round. I am thankful for the time he puts in with me and I continue to improve. I will always put in the effort needed to be better.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

BETA, Academic Team Member, School Jump Rope Team, Wrestling Club, Star Leader of my school, Gifted and Talented Recipient in music, STEM State Convention Participant.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Being the youngest on most teams I’ve played on, I’ve learned to lead early and be a team player. I want my teammates to get better every time we step on the field. At our young age we are developing our team to compete at the high school level. It’s not about the individual, it’s about the team as a whole; everyone doing their part so the team succeeds. It’s about the we not the me.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have always played up in age in football. I play up with my brother, which is 21 months older than me since I started playing football in 1st grade. Playing up with older players has made me a better player and more mentally fit for the game. I also challenge myself by competing in Powerlifting, competing side by side with adults helps me grow and continue to better my numbers for every event.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that has a culture of players that have grit and want to win as a team. I love being apart of something bigger than myself.
