Volpe is a versatile player whose contributions on both sides of the ball making him a prospect to know. As a running back, he shows excellent vision and patience, consistently finding running lanes and getting north and south without wasting movement. His ability to find creases quickly allows him to maximize carries and keep the offense on schedule. Volpe excels at picking up tough yards between the tackles and routinely generates positive gains that help move the chains. His shiftiness is another strength that shows up on film. In open space, he has the ability to make the first defender miss and create additional yardage after contact. Continued work on speed and explosiveness could elevate his game even further and help turn those solid gains into explosive plays. Defensively, Volpe brings a physical presence at safety. He fills running lanes aggressively, comes downhill with confidence. He also displays solid coverage instincts and has shown the ability to create turnovers by coming away with interceptions.

Volpe showed out during this combine. He was 4^th for the pro shuttle, 4^th for the L-drill, and 3^rd for the broad jump. He demonstrated his smooth and controlled footwork during drills and the competition. He uses his very good change of direction allowing him dynamic jump cuts to pivot around defenders and get free. Volpe showed his mixture of power and speed throughout individual and the competition. He showed off his catching ability as well. Good ball tracking and catching to pluck the ball out of the air. I’m very excited to see how he continues playing moving forward. He boosted his stock this camp!
