Scouts have spoken highly of George heading into the season, and his athleticism gives plenty of reason for the excitement. As a member of the Southern Rams, George brings a speedy presence to the defensive front and has the ability to attack the quarterback with aggression. His quickness off the ball can create problems for offensive linemen and give him opportunities to make plays in the backfield.

With his combination of speed and athleticism, George is a defender I’m looking forward to following this year. There is plenty of room for his game to continue developing, but the early buzz suggests he could emerge as a disruptive piece along the Southern Rams’ defensive front.

Perhaps no athlete made more out of the multi-session 12U Jersey Shore Conference All-Stars tryout, than Southern’s George McKinney George McKinney DL/ATH Southern Rams (Youth Program) | 2031 NJ . McKinney is a strong kid who brings considerable athleticism with his size and build. He arrived at the first session and did a nice job winning reps with strength, but stayed through the LB/RB tryout and then even ran routes as a Tight End during the QB/WR/DB session. With a lack of size overall, he seems like an obvious selection to play up front.
