We currently have Waverly’s Gavin McMillan Gavin McMillan Gavin McMillan 6'2" | 185 lbs | DB/WR Waverly | 2027 State NE listed as a DB, but he has the potential to emerge as one of the top two-way players in this class. Gavin ended his sophomore season as the leading receiver with 184 yards and two touchdowns on 11 receptions and recorded two interceptions on defense. Defensively, I like Gavin’s physicality when matched up in coverage, showing no hesitation to handfight and contest passes at the catch point. McMillan has ideal size for the DB position with a taller, lengthier 6’2″, 185-pound frame. Gavin’s speed allows him to match up well with any receiver and shows the agility to change directions sharply, stick with receivers as they go in and out of their breaks, and close on the ball quickly. Great instincts and ball tracking keep him in position to make plays.
