Paul Gregorian | Prep Redzone Scout
Youngblood has been a bit of a unknown piece of this El Cerrito offense for the past three seasons, but has been one of the most explosive and elite playmakers across the Bay Area for some time now and has been the top player for the state champion program. Having a breakout game three years ago in the NCS D2 title game, he has only gone up from there and is a elite downfield threat with tremendous ball skills, open field speed and separation ability while a key piece on both sides of the ball. He is a no-brainer FCS+ caliber prospect with the ideal size/length for that level and is going to be a late steal either for a 4 year school or at the JUCO level and then see his recruitment takeoff from there. He erupted in the 4-A state title game going for 112 yards receiving and 3 touchdowns and was everywhere on the back end of this Gaucho defense.

Youngblood had three touchdown receptions for El Cerrito in its 35-12 win over Beckman in the Division 4-A State title game. He’s a really good deep threat and has excellent body control.

Youngblood has been one of the best kept secrets across the north coast section since his sophomore year where he broke out in the D2 section title game at Diablo Valley College. He is a true burner on the outside with long strides and elite speed to create seperation and has outstanding tracking abilities over the top and body control when making off-platform catches. Also an elite defender that shuts down the entire back end of the field, he erupted on Friday night against Salesian and ended up with 3 interceptions and found the end-zone plenty of times as well for the Gauchos.

Youngblood was a two-way starter for one of the top teams in Northern California as a sophomore, and put on some big time performances through out the NCS playoff’s. He has good length and elite open field speed and can stretch the field while getting over the top of safeties and tracks the ball well in traffic. At corner, he is a long and rangy player that plays physical at the POA, excels in press coverage and is a natural peddler while smooth in transition and breaks quickly to ball carriers. Although not currently holding any offers, he is a no brainer D-I caliber prospect in this 2026 class, and is one of the hidden gems across the Bay Area heading into the 2024 season.
