Gross Catholic’s Gage Mettscher Gage Mettscher 6'5" | 275 lbs | OL Omaha Gross Catholic | 2028 State NE was a nice find this season as he seems to have the tools to develop into a top-tier prospect. Mettscher asserted himself as a stonewall right tackle with next-level measurables at 6’5″ and 275 pounds and room to continue filling out his frame. Gage uses his length to his advantage, as he can fully extend when making initial contact and be the main aggressor at the point of attack. Even at 6’5″, Gage manages to stay in a balanced base with good pad level. He flashed great lateral quickness and footwork when dropping into pass protection. As a run blocker, Mettscher can be a real mauler as he explodes out of his stance and has a powerful leg drive when forcing defenders out of running lanes. He can climb up to the second level to seal off LBs with ease and will continue looking for more work. I think another season of good tape will put Gage on the map!
