Intriguing prospect from a size perspective alone. 6’3, 190 pounds, I know all too well how much those at the next level covet tall and long DBs. Says a lot about this young man’s athleticism that the Brooks School coaching staff trusts him to keep up with some tremendous wide-out talent. The way Nwobi plays the run, I could see him being a fun project at OLB. He looks a bit raw in his backpedal, slightly uncomfortable in some stances. I stress that it’s slight, this kid is still moving well enough to almost land inside the top 30 at his position. I like Nwobi’s ability to open up and run with kids much smaller than he is. His second stride downfield makes up for any late transitions at the LOS. Much of Nwobi’s tape highlights his ability in-phase. Would love to see more reps of him being targeted to see how he plays the ball. This is a modest ranking because of said limited tape. That being said, I can’t wait to see how this young man develops.
