Gabriel Koprattiyil brings an intriguing blend of size, poise, and efficiency to the quarterback position. At 6-foot-5, he has the frame coaches look for, paired with the ability to extend plays through his escapability without relying on his legs as a primary weapon. Koprattiyil is a pass-first quarterback who shows accuracy when pushing the ball downfield and operates with strong timing and anticipation. His combination of size, arm talent, and pocket awareness gives him a solid foundation as a quarterback with upside as he continues to refine his game.

Gabriel and his Gilman teammates will look to start the 2025 season off strong after dropping its last five games last season.
What I’m looking to see from him this upcoming season: I’d like to see him get the ball out a little faster. I’m interested to know if he has more velocity on his passes this season. He makes quick decisions in the short-to-intermediate passing game. Gilman’s quick passing game will be more effective this season if he’s improved in those areas.

A very long, lean Quarterback that is drawing attention from many of Maryland’s top private high schools. Not as refined as some of the other QB’s in the 2027 class, but he has the size to become a Quarterback that next-level schools will want.

Gabriel is another quarterback coming out of the highly sought after state of Maryland. Throughout his tape Gabriel shows off arm talent that is advanced for this level. Though it’s a bit long, he has a very smooth throwing motion that allows him to place his passes in tight windows. Gabriel also has very strong feet in the pocket. At a long, lanky 6-foot-3, No matter the kind of ball is going to throw, Gabriel keeps his feet in rhythm to deliver a perfectly placed and perfectly timed ball. With that, Gabriel also moves encouragingly outside of the the pocket. If he is sprinting out of the pocket, Gabriel has no problem throwing on the run and not having to compensate timing or accuracy at the same time. Gabriel clearly has potential and could become something to be excited about on the next level.
