returns for perennial western Iowa powerhouse, Harlan this season, who is looking to return to make it back to the Dome. The second-leading passer that returns for 2025, Arkfeld threw for 1,787 yards and 17 scores last year for the Cyclones.
Arkfeld is effective particularly under center, executing the play-action pass as well as quick game well for the Cyclones. With solid mechanics and a decent arm, Arkfeld can make all the throws he needs to for Harlan to be successful again this coming season.

succeeded his older brother Will as the starter for the Cyclones this season, and he did a good job filling his shoes and establishing himself as a legitimate signal-caller for the team. Arkfeld finished with 1787 passing yards, 17 touchdowns, and 6 picks. He also ran for 217 yards and 2 touchdowns. Arkfeld has a great arm, showing excellent velocity and depth on his horizontal throws. Arfeld shows solid footwork, great timing on his quick throws, and is able to improvise when the pocket collapses while keeping his eyes down the field to find a receiver. A new group of receivers in 2025 will certainly give a challenge for Arkfeld, but the ceiling is very high for Arkfeld’s senior campaign if he can develop a strong rapport quickly.

had one of his best passing performances of his junior campaign. Arkfeld finished 12 of 20 for 308 yards and 3 touchdowns in the win. Arkfeld’s deep throwing ability could not be contained on Friday night, hitting on several perfect passes where he fit the ball over the defender’s head and in the lone spot where the receiver could jump and make the catch. Arkfeld has had his share of hit-or-miss plays, but as proven on Friday night, he’s been really improving on his hits, and now he will be put to the test this week as Harlan goes on the road to take on Algona.

did a solid job leading the offense to a huge statement win. Arkfeld finished 9 of 19 for 168 yards, a touchdown, and a pick, while also adding 82 rushing yards on just 5 carries and a touchdown. Arkfeld broke an 85 yard touchdown run against Nevada, which played a key difference in the win, and he engineered the drive that set up Harlan for the game-leading 31 yard FG early in the 4th quarter in which Harlan would hold on to win. Arkfeld could see his recruiting stock skyrocket after leading the upset win as he looks to maintain this momentum heading into the playoffs.
