Freddy has fast feet and moves well around the pocket. He does a good job of keeping his eyes downfield and finding late breaking routes. He can get to the edge and make throws on the run with accuracy. He has a strong enough arm to drive the ball downfield and enough touch to target receivers on the boundary. Lots of tools in the bag for this QB1.

Freddy was a prospect who’s film I have evaluated before and was someone I really wanted to see in person. From the jump, Freddy showed the tools I want to see in a QB. Standing at 6’2″ he has good size for a QB.
Freddy had if not the strongest, a top 3, strongest arm in the showcase. He rips the ball with velocity and can throw it down the field with ease. In addition to his arm strength he has a quick release. His footwork looked sound during the drills I watched him. You can tell Freddy is a hard worker and wants to continue to improve his craft.
Melton certainly has the qualities to be a college QB and I think he will finish as one of the top QB prospects in the Class of 2026.

Freddy had a productive sophomore year playing QB at King School. He accounted for over 2,000 years and 19 TD’s. He was also named a first team all conference. Freddy has a quick release and a big arm. He does a nice job of getting his feet into position to throw the ball accurately into tight windows. He shows poise in the pocket when throwing the football. I think Freddy has all the tools to be one of the top QB’s in the Class of 2026.
