To wrap up our top five defensive backs in the class of 2027 in the state of Kentucky, I have Fred Carson Fred Carson 6'0" | 170 lbs | DB East Jessamine | 2027 State KY . Fred lines up at corner where he is very reliable in zone coverage. He does a great job of dropping into his zone and read route combinations. When the ball is thrown his way, he does a great job of breaking on the ball with perfect timing to make a play. He finished this past season with four interceptions in 12 games, returning two of them for touchdowns. Carson also finished the year with 45 tackles, one tackle for loss, and two sacks. He also made an impact on offense, catching 25 passes for 351 yards and 5 touchdowns, and returned one kickoff return for a touchdown. Fred doesn’t currently hold any offers but he is a player who college coaches should have on their radar heading into his junior year.
