One of the hardest working players in all of the Peach State and one of the most talented is certainly Ezequiel Carter out of Adairsville High School. He is going to have a major year in 2026 on the gridiron. Carter has the dynamic running style of being able to change direction yet get the hard yards as well. He is someone you want to feed the ball to and this year, I expect the Tigers to give him the rock so he can showcase it all this fall. He is one of those backs who will be heard around the state.

Ezequiel Carter Ezequiel Carter 5'9" | 180 lbs | RB Adairsville | 2028 GA is one who remains unranked at this moment, but that will change soon now that he is back for his second season following an injury that kept him on the sidelines. He is one of my favorite running backs in the whole state, and he is by far one of the more gifted players when it comes to the offensive side of the ball. Carter will both avoid tacklers and run right through them, as he is a well-rounded player. Carter’s upside is through the roof, and soon, people will know his name by heart.

Now is his time. He has been exceptional and his natural, God-given ability plus his work ethic is top tier. It showcased last year but this year I have that feeling it’s going to be a major year for him. He is a complete work horse and a back who can make it happen in many different ways. He’s one of my favorite backs out of Georgia’s 2028 class!

Talk about a heavy runner. He is someone who I feel is very impressive in the run game. He battled back from an injury that he suffered, but you definitely can’t tell from watching his film. He runs with the willingness to do what it takes to move the chains. Carter is a patient back, but is also aggressive when attacking the gaps. He runs without hesitation when shooting gaps, which is what you like to see at his age. Very talented player with solid speed. By the time he hits his full potential with Adairsville, fans of other teams will be sick of hearing his name.

Carter has the potential to be the breakout “Small School” RB in NWGA this season. He got his feet wet last season at the varsity level where he averaged over 6 carries per game. The 5’9 180 RB had double digit carries in 4 of the Tigers 11 games. Graduation hit Adairsville hard in the skill positions this Spring and Carters workload should increase this Fall.

What Stands Out: Carter has a good build for an every down back. Solid frame with a strong upper body that obviously spends time off the field in the weight room. Good North/South speed, recent 4.65 40, and combined with his size makes an outstanding between the tackle option. Good hands.

Outlook: 2025 will be a turn the corner year for Carter. He has the size, speed, IQ to make an impact for the Tigers this Fall. One to circle and watch.

I have watched this young man train with his father alongside his super athletic siblings putting in the work for a long time now and nothing has changed! This grinder has put in the work and has showcased his abilities at camps and practices. Carter is a guy who I expect to have a great high school career and I believe this season will be a major season for him and he will put on display all of the hard work he has put in. We got to see what he can do before, but this is the year he really puts people on notice with what he’s capable of. His vision, patience and running style is something that is hard not to notice. He’s an all-around back in my book and that’s a great asset to have on the team. He’s a next level talent that everyone needs to know about if they already do not. I am a huge Carter guy, and I know what he’s got, and this fall it’ll be revealed to the State of Georgia. An excellent talent here!

I have covered him at camps in which he stood out, I have watched tons of film and I see him train tirelessly with his siblings and father who was a standout player himself! The genes are there and the work ethic is there also. Carter is an exceptional back who can do more than just carry the football, he is a threat out of the backfield in the passing game as well as running off scrimmage in the run game. Carter possesses an all-around style which means he’s a threat anywhere he is on the field. He has a very smooth running style and a mix of agility, speed and strength to make big plays happen. Carter will break out and he is a name to know because I have him breaking out as one of the top backs in his 2028 class!
