I was pleased to see a bump in stock after checking in on one of my favorite prospects in the state. Ethan Shine Ethan Shine 5'10" | 215 lbs | RB Central Bucks East | 2023 State PA was another prospect I had to stand on the table for early on in his HS career. Thankfully, he’s seen recent traction. East Stroudsburg would be an incredible fit, Sacred Heart and Robert Morris have extended PWOs to Shine, offers that should be scholarships in my opinion.

Every time I see this kid he’s impressing me. On tape, at camps, now in person. Ethan Shine Ethan Shine 5'10" | 215 lbs | RB Central Bucks East | 2023 State PA has seen some of the FCS interest I was clamoring for way back this time last year. Here’s to hoping one of those FCS programs makes him a priority sooner rather than later, they won’t regret it. A tank of a running back with some of the best power and balance I’ve seen from any back in his class. He reminds me a ton of Bonner-Prendie’s Mason Peterson, a bull of a back who just doesn’t know when to quit. Central Bucks East has some real talent around Shine, yet when game-planning against them, Ethan Shine Ethan Shine 5'10" | 215 lbs | RB Central Bucks East | 2023 State PA needs to be priority number one. I can imagine a future where a program like Holy Cross or Bryant U takes him and molds him into an elite FCS linebacker via the weight room. His options are open, sign him before it’s too late.

Shine’s Week Seven performance saw him run for 290 yards on the ground, scoring four times, while also adding six tackles, 1 TFL, and a game-sealing interception. The stats are loaded, yet you can’t get a feel for just how valuable this young man is to the Patriot program. Shine’s running style is going to suit him well at the next level. Shine has the inept ability to stay up after initial contact. His balance in the trenches as well as after contact is elite. Shine possesses the ability to hit a hole, absorb contact, and still have vision ahead of his would-be tackler. Shine is ready for his next move even while being engaged with a defender. At this level, Shine can dominate with his upper/lower body strength, he has cut ability to his game, he can stride away from defenders. Where he impresses most, a trait that will translate to the next level is his ability to win without all of the previously mentioned abilities. It’s a reason I think he’ll be a star at whatever program he inevitably commits to. You can’t forget about his talents at linebacker either. Not many RB/LB prospects lead me to think they are better RBs at the next level over LBs. Shine is one of those prospects.

I pounded the table for everything that young man has accomplished thus far. He has yet to hit his ceiling from an interest standpoint. Every time Central Bucks East takes the field, Ethan Shine Ethan Shine 5'10" | 215 lbs | RB Central Bucks East | 2023 State PA might bust a run 80+ yards to the house. I’ve written relentlessly about this kid’s two-way ability, his most recent tape saw him erupt for 12 tackles, 1 TFL & 266 yards on the ground with four scores to boot. One of my favorite players to watch.
