Ethan came in and put together a very strong showing from start to finish. The 6’2″ 232 lbs DL hit a 9’2″ broad jump, 30.7″ vertical, and hit a 4.92 in the 40. Also impressive, Ethan is about 22 lbs heavier than he was last fall. He is now looking the part of a name to know at DE, and he has the athletic profile to match. It will be very interesting to see the package that he brings to the field this fall. The big man still has the range to pursue out on the edge and all over the backfield. He has the quick lateral agility to put himself in effective positions. I’ll be interested to see if we see more strength and stoutness on the edge with that added size. The ’25 will be a name to know as he becomes an upperclassman over in MN.

Another standout member of Farmington’s 2025 class who is already physically ahead of schedule thanks to the Tiger’s excellent strength & conditioning program is our #52 ranked prospect and the current DL9 Ethan Giesler. The 6’2, 220+ lb. defensive end was a varsity contributor last fall and big #98 and was a stout run defender with the capability to impact the pass rush game with his noticeable closing speed. Giesler does a good job of using his hands to work off blocks, has a good motor and has no problem pursuing the ball downfield, and is just beginning to tap into his ability to disrupt opponents in both phases of the offense. I’m very excited to see how he attacks the offseason and I can definitely see him moving up the rankings in the near future.
